Repairs

With years of experience to call upon, Cambridge Audio-Visual is able to service and repair most makes and models of audio-visual equipment – and for those that we can't, we have access to a comprehensive network of specialist engineers to help.

If your LCD projector lamp blows, or your microphone develops a crackle, give us a call and we'd be happy to help. We would quote you on a job-by-job basis and keep you informed of progress throughout the repair process.

Servicing

Just like a car, audio-visual systems appreciate regular servicing and a bit of TLC from time to time. We can offer ad-hoc servicing of your equipment, either on your premises, or back at our workshop. Our engineers charge on a per-hour basis and our experience means we're pretty good at estimating how long jobs will take.

Service contracts

For many of our clients we have service contracts in place – usually bespoke-designed to suit the financial and technical requirements of the client and the room concerned.

In a typical service contract, we would begin by carrying out an audit of the installation – to log all equipment and to ensure everything is in good working order. We follow that up with twice-yearly servicing visits to maintain the audio-visual equipment, also providing written reports for complete peace of mind.

Finally, should anything break unexpectedly, our engineers will be on site within an agreed time to try and fix it. We also have an emergency plan in place whereby we assess the 'mission critical' elements of an installation (e.g. Crestron processor, matrix switcher, auditorium projector) and develop an action plan should they fail. Often it is impossible to replace these items at short notice, so we develop a way of restoring functionality as quickly as possible while that item is out of action.
